Culver’s is simply delicious. It is unlike any other fast food chain available. You may not be familiar with Culver’s because they do not have locations all around the U . S .. These are mostly located in Midwest America and have a few isolated locations scattered in other major U.S cities. When I think about Culvers menu, I think of a blend of Fuddrucker’s and Dairy Queen. Imagine a place where one can order a high quality burger, e.g., Fuddrucker’s. Along with order a very customizable dessert with hundreds of possible combinations, e.g., Dairy Queen. Well then you have Culver’s. The good thing about Culver’s is, even though the food is way better, the values are no greater than your average fast food chain. Not to mention Culver’s prides themselves on being very hospitable and provide great service, unlike a few unmentionables.
Culver’s is most well-known for his or her ButterBurgers. The quality and taste is far preferable over most fast food burgers and the best thing about them is because they are FRESH. They also have other great items on the menu such as the Wisconsin Swiss Melt or perhaps the Grilled Reuben Melt. Don’t like french fries? Well Culver’s offers mashed potatoes, coleslaw, onion rings and green beans as an alternative. Hope you saved room for dessert because Culver’s has shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, concrete cakes and ice cream sandwiches. Don’t ask me that is better because they are all great.
Culver Franchising System, Inc., doing business as Culver’s, is a privately operated and operated casual fast food restaurant chain that operates primarily within the Midwestern United States. The chain is mainly noted for its “butterburgers” and frozen custard, but also offers cheese curds, chicken, fish, and salads. Culver’s opened its first restaurant in 1984 in Sauk City, Wisconsin, and is also currently headquartered in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin. As of June 24, 2019, the chain had 710 restaurants in 25 states, mostly in the Midwest, with an additional 18 under construction.
Sauk City restaurateurs and spouses George and Ruth Culver started their fast food careers since the people who own an A&W on Phillips Boulevard (U.S. Highway 12) in 1961. In 1968, they bought a resort-styled restaurant at Devil’s Lake known as the Farm Kitchen. Their son, Craig Culver, worked for any local McDonald’s straight out of college in 1973. After selling their restaurants and quitting their jobs, George, Ruth, Craig and his awesome wife Lea opened the initial Culver’s Frozen Custard and ButterBurgers on July 18, 1984. Craig led the business from the inception until 2015.
In October 2017, Culver’s corporation sold a minority share to Roark Capital Group, a private equity firm located in Atlanta. The Culver family retains majority ownership. The existing franchising strategy is one of contiguous expansion in a vpkuxl of around 40 new stores annually. The chain expanded into Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 2005, then an opening in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in July 2006. Culver’s shifted its attention to developing markets past the Midwest. The Metro-98 prototype, created in 2006 and first constructed in Fort Dodge, Iowa, was far more compact than the traditional 120-seater commonly built through much of Culvers expansion.
